Guaranteed Private Room

North Shore Private Hospital is pleased to offer all of our maternity patients the guarantee of a private room.  There is no shared accommodation in our maternity unit.

Parenting Suites

North Shore Private Hospital now offers parenting suites to provide couples the opportunity to stay together in hospital after the birth of their baby.

Parenting suites are designed to enhance your postnatal experience by enabling partners to stay and be totally involved in the care of your newborn baby.

Parenting suite accommodation includes:

• Double bed
• All meals for you and your partner, including morning and afternoon tea
• Complimentary toiletry pack for partners

To be eligible to stay, partners are requested to read and sign the parenting suite ‘terms and conditions’. This is to ensure the safety of your baby and the privacy of the patients in the maternity ward.

If you wish to stay in a parenting suite, please inform your Midwife on admission who will be happy to assist you. There is an additional charge to stay in a parenting suite and this is not rebatable from your health fund.

How much do the Parenting Suites cost?

The Parenting suites costs $400 per stay and include:

• Double Bed
• Meals for you and your partner
• Complimentary toiletry pack for your partner

Can I pre book a Parenting Suite?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to pre-book. Please ask your midwife on admission if you would like to stay in a parenting suite

Can a Parenting Suite be guaranteed during my stay?

Unfortunately, due to a limited number of parenting suites, we are unable to guarantee that a suite will be available

Can I claim the cost of the Parenting Suite from my health fund?

The cost of a parenting suite is not covered by most health funds. Check with your fund.
