Graduate Diploma of Midwifery

Thank you for your enquiry about the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery.

Since 2002, North Shore Private have been running the postgraduate diploma of midwifery in partnership with CSU. In 2016 we have partnered with UTS for the first time. We take one graduate diploma student per year. We run this program with UTS and your successful application into UTS is required prior to gaining employment here. We look to recruit our student from September onwards.

The course requires students to attend university once a week (currently Thursdays at the Ultimo campus) and the student is then on clinical here for the remaining 32 hours that week.

Each student is required to gain experience in Birthing Suite, Postnatal ward, Special Care Nursery and Antenatal clinic. North Shore Private does not have an antenatal clinic so students are required to attend the private obstetrician rooms and care for antenatal patients in birthing suite and the postnatal ward.
