Dr Morris' undergraduate years were spent at the University of Sydney with a residence at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and a senior registrar year at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, where he obtained membership of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He then worked overseas for four years, starting in Dublin with two years at the National Maternity Hospital and the Rotunda, then moving to London for one year while working at Queen Charlotte's Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital. The following year he worked in Paris at Hospital Cochin.
Dr Morris is an examiner for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and he is a training supervisor for registrars in obstetrics and gynaecology. Dr Morris is both mentor and teacher to medical students.
Dr Morris is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in the United Kingdom, Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, and he holds a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.
