A/Prof Sean Seeho is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with an interest in high and low risk pregnancies, miscarriage, preeclampsia, preconception counselling, twins and autoimmune disease

A/Professor Sean Seeho has provided obstetric care to women at North Shore Private and Royal North Shore Hospital for almost 20 years. With many general practitioners and their partners, colleagues, nurses, and midwives trusting their pregnancy care with A/Professor Seeho at the hospitals in which he works.

 

A/Professor Seeho has the knowledge and skills to care for all women and with all types of pregnancies. His areas of clinical expertise include women with pre-existing medical conditions; women with pregnancy complications; twin pregnancies; women who conceived with IVF; and women with previous pregnancy complications, including miscarriage, stillbirth, and preterm birth. A/Professor Seeho continues to contribute to the Australian national initiative to prevent stillbirth across the country. He is the current Chair of the Board of Stillbirth Foundation Australia. 

 

A/Professor Seeho also provides consultations for women planning pregnancy to ensure the best possible health outcomes for them and their babies. He is often referred women from GPs, IVF specialists, and colleagues to provide a second opinion. A/Professor Seeho strongly believes in women-centred pregnancy care and practises informed-shared decision making.

 

A/Professor Seeho performs an ultrasound scan at each visit during pregnancy in his consulting rooms.

 

A/Professor Seeho is active in medical student and junior medical doctor education and assessment. He is the Lead of Specialty of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatology for the Sydney Medical School at the Royal North Shore Hospital and North Shore Private Hospital. A/Professor Seeho is one of only a few obstetricians with a PhD. He is a chief investigator on many major research grants and has achieved more than $8 million in competitive research funding. He has published more than 50 scientific papers and continues to supervise higher-degree research students. A/Professor has an extensive knowledge of best practice obstetric care, and his academic and research roles ensure that he remains up to date with new developments and discoveries.

 

A/Professor Seeho is married and has a son Oliver. His practice receptionist is fluent in the Korean language.
