Professor Greg Nelson has been in Cardiology practice since 1984 and has been involved in the development of the process of field triage for primary angioplasty in acute myocardial infarction.  He has helped establish the concept of the Regional Heart Attack Centre at the co-located cardiac catheter laboratory of the RNSH and the North Shore Private Hospitals.  He has a strong interest in clinical research and has published over 70 papers in peer reviewed journals and been primary investigator in over 20 multicentre randomised controlled trials at the Royal North Shore Hospital.
