Professor Rod Baber is an obstetrician and gynaecologist with a special interest in reproductive endocrinology and the menopause. He has retired from his obstetric practice, but continues to care for his gynaecology patients.
His specialist training included studies at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney, Kings College Hospital, London and The Lister Hospital, London.
He is President of The International Menopause Society and a past president of The Australasian Menopause Society.
He has served on the council of The RANZCOG and is associate editor of The ANZ Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
He is immediate past chair of the division of obstetrics, gynaecology and neonatal paediatrics at North Shore Private Hospital, Deputy Chair of The Medical Advisory Committee and a member of The Patient Care Review Committee at that hospital.
