Dr Richard Boyle graduated with Honours in Medicine from UNSW and completed his Orthopaedic training in Sydney. He undertook further subspecialist training in Sydney at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and thence internationally in Toronto Canada, Basel Switzerland, and Vienna Austria.
He has an interest in Hip and Knee Replacement, complex revision surgery, and Bone and Soft Tissue Tumour surgery, especially biological reconstruction and advanced joint replacement techniques including computer navigation and patient specific surgery.
He is a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association and is the previous Chair of The Northside Orthopaedic Training Scheme. He is a member of the International Society of Limb Salvage and The Australian Sarcoma Group. He is involved in a number of clinical trials for tumour treatment as well as in orthopaedic surgery and arthroplasty. He is also a clinical Lecturer at The Australian School of Advanced Medicine, Macquarie University, and Medical Director of the NSW Bone Bank.
He operates regularly at North Shore Private Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, The Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, and The Children's Hospital, Westmead.
