Dr Brahman Sivakamar is an orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery.

Brahman is an orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery. He completed his orthopaedic training in 2018, before undertaking two years of hand surgery fellowships in Australia, France, India and the United States. He is currently employed as a VMO at the Hand Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital, and is part of the Orthopaedic Departments at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai and Nepean Hospitals. He treats both elective and trauma hand pathologies in all ages, and has an interest in minimally invasive wrist surgery (wrist arthroscopy and endoscopic carpal tunnel releases), targeted muscle reinnervation for pain control and prosthetic function following nerve injury and amputations, and the treatment of spasticity.

Brahman also has an interest in research. He has completed two Masters degrees, and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. He is a Clinical Associate Professor through the Northern Clinical School at the University of Sydney.
