Dr Steiner is an orthopaedic surgeon with an interest in spinal surgery. He graduated from Monash University, with honours, before moving to Sydney to complete his orthopaedic training. During this time he completed a Graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy and a Master of Traumatology.
Following completion of his orthopaedic training, and completing his fellowship with the Australian Orthopaedic Association and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he undertook a specialist spinal fellowship at RNSH where he focused on spinal trauma and elective spinal surgery. Following this he completed a further fellowship at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London where he focused on complex spinal deformity surgery, degenerative conditions, minimally invasive spinal surgery and the management of primary and metastatic spinal tumours.
Dr Steiner consults at both St Leonards and Westmead and is currently undertaking a locum at Royal North Shore Hospital.
