Dr Banzic can offer endovascular and open repair management of all vascular conditions. He has experience in complex open and endovascular vascular reconstructions on thoracoabdominal aorta, aortic arch, and main visceral arteries. He has interests in thoracoabdominal aortic surgery, advanced less invasive endovascular procedures, and complete venous pathology.

Dr Igor Banzic is a vascular and endovascular surgeon consulting and operating at North Shore Private Hospital (St Leonards), Kareena Private Hospital (Caringbah) and St George Private Hospital (Kogarah). 

Dr Banzic is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery (FEBVS), and holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) by research. With more than 22 years of experience, he provides vascular surgical care across the full spectrum of arterial, venous and aortic disease using both open vascular surgery and minimally invasive endovascular techniques.

He completed advanced fellowship training at internationally recognised institutions including Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute, University Hospital Zurich, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and Royal North Shore Hospital. His fellowship training included complex aortic surgery, advanced endovascular procedures, carotid artery disease, peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, vascular compression syndromes and complex vascular reconstruction.

Dr Banzic welcomes referrals for both routine vascular conditions and complex tertiary referrals, including patients requiring assessment and treatment under the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) and Workers Compensation schemes.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Banzic has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has delivered invited presentations at more than 50 international vascular surgery conferences. He works closely with general practitioners, medical specialists and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive assessment and management of both common and complex vascular conditions.
